What AlphaApply.ai is

AlphaApply.ai (formerly IvyAdmit) is an AI college counselor for US admissions. Students work with Jim, an AI counselor that learns their story, builds a balanced college list with reach, target, and safety schools, coaches their Common App and supplemental essays, and tracks every deadline through decision day.

The team behind it combines Ivy League admissions counseling experience with MIT engineering. The college data on this site — every deadline, essay prompt, and testing policy — is verified by hand against each school's official materials for the 2026-27 cycle.

What Jim will not do

Jim never writes essays for students. He asks questions, surfaces the story a student hasn't thought to tell, points out weak framing, and gives feedback on drafts the student wrote — the way a school counselor or English teacher would. The words stay the student's from first draft to submission. Colleges prohibit submitting work that isn't yours; AlphaApply.ai is built to keep applications the student's own.

Humans too, not just AI

Vetted human counselors run their practices on AlphaApply.ai and work with students in the same workspace. The Season Pass includes two one-on-one calls with a real counselor, and students can add a human counselor anytime.
