What Clemson is really asking
Is there context that changes how your record reads?
The mistake most applicants make
Over-explaining.
Do this instead
State what happened, when, and what it affected, then one sentence on what you did about it. No apology, no lesson. If nothing applies, leave it blank.
How to spend 650 words
650 words is a full short essay. Build it around one story with a clear turn, use real names and details, and let the reflection grow out of the story instead of being announced at the end.
How to start
Jim starts by asking you: “Was there something outside school that affected your record?” Answer it with Jim, free →
