What Northeastern is really asking
What do you make, why, and where do you want it to go?
The mistake most applicants make
Describing your interest in general terms, with no specific work.
Do this instead
Name two pieces of work you made, what you were exploring in each, and the question that links them. Then what you want to explore at CAMD, with one specific program or facility.
How to spend 500 words
500 words is a full short essay. Build it around one story with a clear turn, use real names and details, and let the reflection grow out of the story instead of being announced at the end.
