Colleges With Rolling Admissions (2026-2027)
The 11 schools on our list of 115 that review applications as they arrive instead of after a single deadline, with the priority and scholarship dates that still matter. Verified by the AlphaApply.ai team.
How rolling admission works
A rolling school reads your file as soon as it is complete and usually answers within four to eight weeks, so an October application can bring an acceptance before Thanksgiving. There is no binding commitment and no limit on how many rolling schools you apply to. The catch is that the class fills as the cycle goes on: popular majors close first, scholarship budgets are spent in order, and by spring an applicant with the same grades can be waitlisted or offered a later start. Apply by the priority date in the table and you are competing for the full set of seats and money.
Why these schools belong on most lists
An early answer from a rolling school changes how the rest of the season feels. With one acceptance in hand by December, Early Decision choices and reach applications get calmer. Because several of these schools ask for no supplemental essay, the application is often an afternoon's work. Use the acceptance rate column to decide whether a school is a likely or a target for you, and check the testing policy, since some require scores and others do not consider them.

Questions students ask
Is there a deadline for rolling admission colleges?
There is usually a final date, often in spring or summer, but the date that matters is the priority deadline. Honors programs, merit scholarships, competitive majors, and housing are decided on the earlier date, and the school can close admission once the class is full.
How long does a rolling admission decision take?
Most of these schools answer within four to eight weeks of the application being complete, which includes the transcript and any required scores. Applying in September or October usually means a decision before winter break.
Can I apply to rolling colleges and Early Decision at the same time?
Yes. Rolling admission is not binding and does not count as an early round, so it does not conflict with Early Decision, Early Action, or Restrictive Early Action rules.
