What Alabama is really asking
Did anyone trust you to run something, and did anything change because you did?
The mistake most applicants make
Listing the title and the years and stopping there. 'Vice President, 2024-2026' tells them nothing.
Do this instead
For each role, one line: title, dates, then a concrete result with a number. 'Grew club from 12 to 40 members' beats a paragraph of duties.
How to spend 150 words
150 words is one paragraph. One specific moment or detail, then what it shows about you, then the connection to this school or question. No introduction, no summary.
How to start
Jim starts by asking you: “What is the biggest thing that happened in a group because you were the one in charge?” Answer it with Jim, free →
